You know, there was more to my comment than just the first three sentences. I agree that you won’t find a NYT article headlined “victory” or opening with “hallelujah.” I disagree that you can’t find opinion in NYT “news” articles. John happens to be open about his opinions. “News” reporters are not. Instead, they pretend that they are objective while inserting their opinions more covertly and subtly. I find candor in acknowledging one’s perspective and expressing one’s opinions openly more intellectually honest than the game of creating a false image of objectivity, particularly when it takes the form of the mindless false equivalency of a CNN.

Wow…such true words! The first program my district kicked when money issues became tough was the gifted program. It’s so sad that kids that are gifted are ignored while most of us are forced to teach to the middle or low end of the scale. It makes me nuts and I am trying to find ways to engage the higher kids without spreading myself to thin. It can be done, I just have to get it done since I know how it feels to be one of those kids.

I’ve been contemplating Black Dahlia for quite some time, but the fact that it comes with a polish, and it’s represented by Detox (second only to Alyssa this season) is a sign, and I think I may need Strumpet, as well. I’ll probably pick up NSFW on its own, though… Willam just bugged me sooo much, and having to see her face every time I use it would just be too much.
